How do you fit whitewall tyres?

Fitting new tyres involves a few precise steps, especially when handling the inner tubes. Start by removing the wheel from your bike to access the tyre. Carefully remove the inner tube from the old tyre, ensuring to not damaged it. Once the old tyre is fully removed, place one side of the new white walled tyre onto the rim. Next, insert the inner tube back into the wheel, checking that it lies flat without any twists. After the inner tube is positioned correctly, secure the other side of the new tyre onto the rim. Be cautious during this step to avoid pinching the inner tube between the tyre and the rim, which could cause damage. This method ensures the inner tube is protected throughout the tyre fitting process.

Do you need to keep the white walls clean?

Yes that is the only thing about whitewall tires, if you ride muddy trails the white wall can get covered with mud or dirt, so will need occasional cleaning, but you can clean the bike at the same time so it is not too much of a hassle, but they do not need a whole lot of maintenance

The whitewall tyres are not sitting properly on my wheel rims?

This is a fairly common issue, as the tyres are very precisely machined so are very tight on your e-bike rims, if you inflate the tyre and it’s not sitting on the beading properly, slowly deflate the tyre a little until you can push the whitewall tyre back onto the rim, and then slowly inflate again and repeat this process until the tyre is seated properly, there is a video of me showing how to get a tyre to sit on the rim properly here.
